Bubba & The Bottom Feeders emerged on the music scene several years ago - performing in the north bay area of Bahia de Banderas (Banderas Bay), Mexico - an area best known as the location of the resort city of Puerto Vallarta.
We play a somewhat zany and sometimes irreverent mix of music - all meant to provide a fun experience.
But we do have a serious side also. Funds received, whether from tips or from the sale of promotional items, are used to help the less fortunate in local communities here in the Bahia de Banderas area. Our primary project involves providing food to needy families - with a focus on helping children. To ensure that funds are allocated directly to this program, everyone involved volunteers their time - whether it's buying the food in bulk, repackaging and delivering it directly to those in need, performing and assisting at the shows or working behind the scenes. There is no ‘middle man’ being paid an administration fee, ensuring that the funds raised go toward helping families. Individuals needing assistance are brought to our attention through a number of sources and we visit these families to ensure that the need is genuine. Thanks to the tremendous support the group has received, we are also able to help individuals with medical needs.
Although we are only together during the ‘high season’ - normally December through March - each year, community support continues year round.
We are indebted to the many friends who assist us and the many people who have come to our performances and contributed financial support through your tips and the purchase of our promotional items. The people who are the beneficiaries of your generosity are truly appreciative.
